Reference Materials

As one of the earliest specialized researcher and development agencies for reference materials, the Central Iron & Steel Research Institute was established in 1952. Over the past six decades, the Institute has developed more than 1,000 reference materials, and established a complete reference materials research and development system in the metallurgical industry of China. The NCS Testing Technology Co., Ltd is the first large-sized comprehensive testing agency in China. It is a CNAL accredited testing and calibration laboratory and reference materials producer, and also the first accredited laboratory in China by NADCAP.

The Reference Material Division is an agency authorized by the Ministry of Industry and Information of the People’s Republic of China for the research, development and sales of metallurgical and nonferrous reference materials, as well as for sales of products from other reference material producers in China. The reference materials supplied by the Department include the reference materials and consumables used in ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy and geological sectors. The Department has become an industrial leader in the supply of reference materials in China, with increasing sales every year.

In international trade, the Department has established long-term partnerships with over a hundred reference material developers in more than 20 countries such as the U.S., Japan, Germany, Russia, UK, and the Czech Republic, and provides nearly ten thousand kinds of exported reference materials for a range of areas. In the meantime, it sells reference materials to over 40 countries in the world, earning a good reputation both at home and abroad.
